Professional Experience

Elena Picaza studied Design, Fashion, and Scenic Costume Design in Bilbao during the 1980s.

In 1990, she began her career in cinema as a costume assistant with the film *TODO POR LA PASTA* directed by Enrique Urbizu and worked with most Basque directors such as Álex de la Iglesia on *EL DÍA DE LA BESTIA* and *ACCIÓN MUTANTE*, as well as with Julio Medem and Imanol Uribe.

She quickly moved to Madrid, expanding her range of directors to include Iciar Bollaín (*TE DOY MIS OJOS*), Manolo Gutiérrez Aragón, Manuel Iborra, and Gerardo Herrero, among others.

In recent years, she has worked for digital platforms such as Netflix on series like *HISPANIA*, *VELVET*, and *LAS CHICAS DEL CABLE*, where she served as costume designer for the last two seasons.
