Giving voice to a character is, without a doubt, one of the most complex and fascinating aspects of cinema and animation. It is a performance technique that puts actors’ interpretive skills to the test, because they only have one tool at their disposal: their voice.

The Voice-Over and Dubbing training programme at the Basque Country Film School is designed for those who want to develop a professional voice and learn how to convey emotion, intention, personality and nuance purely through vocal performance. It is a programme focused on voice-over, dubbing and voice interpretation techniques applied to film, animation, advertising, series, video games and other audiovisual formats, with a practical approach aimed at preparing creative profiles for an increasingly specialised industry.

Target audience
In the dubbing workshop, students not only learn to dub and interpret a character in a practical way, but it is about modulating the voice, vocalizing and accompanying the work of another professional.
Who you'll become
With this study plan, in addition to learning the trade, it seeks to strengthen confidence to be able to speak in public, perform voiceovers or work on the radio.
Our way of teaching
It is part of the goal that each student learns the trade and is prepared to perform any position within their department.
Students receive continuous practical classes taught by professionals in the sector. The students receive, in addition to a theoretical knowledge about dubbing and the situation of the sector, the basic knowledge to act as dubbers.

The study plan places special emphasis on continuous work and practice at the music stand and microphone.

What will I learn in the Film Directing course?

What is the duration of the Film Directing course?
The Film Directing diploma lasts three years, during which students progress from learning technical and narrative fundamentals to directing complex and professional projects.
