At the ECPV – Basque Country Film School, we are opening registration for the next academic year on January 15th, moving up the schedule so that those seeking a creative path can secure their place and begin designing a training program focused on the cinema of today and tomorrow.
Over the last decade, the ECPV has become one of the most important film schools in Spain. We are a school where practice coexists with research, critical thinking, and new narratives, in constant dialogue with the industry and European cinema.

We want to consolidate our position as a leading European center for applied research, project development, and cinematic thought. Our commitment is that every student will find here the freedom, rigor, and tools to create cinema that engages with the present and endures over time.”
New top-level faculty
This growth is also reflected in the teaching staff. For the second year in a row, Lara Vilanova returns to the Photography Department with her advanced seminars, "Sculpting Light," and Alberto Ballesteros joins the Directing Department, bringing a close and deeply connected perspective to the creative process.
Our students' trajectory confirms this moment of maturity, with participation in festivals such as Zinebi, Málaga, Abycine, and Bogoshort, programs like Kimuak, and various workshops and residencies. Furthermore, new feature films and productions continue to emerge from the school itself, thanks to our graduates.
Today, ECPV is the largest film school in northern Spain and a space where we not only train filmmakers, but also ways of seeing and thinking about the world. We guide each student to find their voice and create meaningful and impactful cinema.

Registration for the new academic year will open on January 15. As always, places are limited.
And if you would like to come and meet us before registering, the open days will take place on January 17, February 21 and March 21, at 11:00 a.m.
