Professional Experience
Ana Júlia Silvino is a film curator and critic with extensive experience in the selection, analysis, and programming of films for festivals, showcases, and cultural events.
She is the editor of Descompasso magazine and has published in various platforms such as Fipresci, Revista Cinética, Verberenas, Câmarescura, Multiplot, and Descolonizarte. She holds a Master’s degree in Film Curating from Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola (UPV-EHU) and participated in the 5th Talent Press Rio de Janeiro (2021) by Berlinale Talents.
In addition, she is a jury member for the Latin American Critics Award for European films at European Film Promotion. Her work focuses on decolonial and feminist approaches, with particular attention to the intersection between cinema and cultural politics.
