David Caíña, scriptwriting and playwriting tutor, awarded at the Conecta Fiction event.
This past weekend the Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT event took place in Toledo. This event is a professional and international market created for the development, production, financing, broadcast, marketing and commercialization of television content.
Among the scheduled activities that took place from June 18 to 21, the PITCH SERIES stood out.
In one of the calls for the PITCH SERIES, the tutor of the Guion y Dramaturgia diploma, David Caíña, presented the fiction project “Makarras”. This project has been developed in the XI 2024 Television Series Creation Laboratory of the Fundación SGAE, under the mentorship of filmmaker David Montoya. “Makarras” is a comedy-drama about teenagers who grow up and try to make a future for themselves in Euskadi with the Basque conflict as a backdrop. In this way, after the presentation of the project through the PITCH developed by David Caíña, “Makarras” has won the RTVE Play Award for the best PITCH of the 2024 edition of Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT.
