The future of women in cinema
The future of women in cinema
The ECPV (Basque Country Film School) and CIMA (Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media) came together this Friday at La Bolsa room, in the old town of Bilbao, to analyze the role of women in cinema.
The table was prepared by CIMA director Cristina Andreu , ECPV editing tutor Ainara López , ECPV Interpretation tutor Usue Álvarez and camera operator and assistant Usue Sanz .
This event has been an opportunity for the students of the ECPV to listen to another point of view related first-hand by these four professionals from the world of cinema.
"The cinema in the end is a representation of the society in which we live, and that society maintains a macho structure."
This round table has been carried out in order to talk about the role of women in the workplace and more specifically the role of women in the cinema. A round table to discuss the progress made to date, the hopes for the future and the objectives that we must take into account in the short, medium and long term.
