BegiraDB, the new platform for film industry professionals.
Last April we wrote an article about the creation of the new Basque producers' association EPE-IBAIA, born from the merger between IBAIA and EPE-APV, with Marian Fernández (Txintxua Films) as president and Carlos Juárez (Basque Films) as vice president. EPE-IBAIA has 65 associated companies, and among these companies is the ECPV-Escuela de Cine del País Vasco.
In this way, EPE-IBAIA and the ECPV-Basque Country Film School have joined forces and ideas by creating a platform for professionals in the film and audiovisual sector called BegiraDB.
The aim of this platform is to provide a place where professionals and companies in the audiovisual sector can get in touch, thereby creating or filling jobs in an easy, accessible and sustainable way.
The platform can be used by workers in the sector. How? Very easy, by creating a profile where they will upload their work experience. Through this profile, those who wish to do so can apply for work. On the other hand, production companies can create job alerts or search for profiles that they need to fill in the production they are currently carrying out.
In short, BegiraDB is open to all types of professionals in the film industry, from sound technicians, directors and editors to production companies that need these types of profiles for their productions.
Finally, the official presentation of the platform will take place in mid-September at the facilities of the ECPV-Basque Country Film School.
