“The Tree House,” the film by Luis Calderón with ECPV teachers and students.

Due to this situation, both Basque production companies and those from outside the Basque Country are coming to film exponentially and therefore, the technical and artistic teams of Bizkaia are continually moving in the different filming that is being carried out continuously.

These technical and artistic teams are usually made up of ECPV students and teachers. Proof of this is the filming that is currently taking place near Orduña, we are talking about “La casa en el árbol”, the debut feature by director Luis Calderón starring Sandra Escacena and Claudio Portalo and produced by La Barbería Films, Media Attack, La Dalia Films and Epic Films.

“La casa en el árbol” is a slasher-style horror production directed by Luis Calderón who until now had professionalized himself in making video clips with artists such as; Bad Bunny, Macaco or Haze. For his debut feature, Luis Calderón has chosen to do the photography direction with Ernesto J. Báez, professor of photography direction at the ECPV, who has developed photography for Disney + or EITB projects. On the other hand, the person chosen for the gaffer position was the photography direction alumni Borja Herrán. Mario Campoy, tutor of the characterization master's degree, who is in charge of creating the SFX of the entire production, also participates in the filming. In addition, students and alumni are working in the different departments of the feature film.
